Summary

Had 3 of these, each one returned to Amazon for a different problem.

1: Voice channel (and only the voice channel) was really quiet.

2: Could now hear the voice channel, however around 3.30 am when I was woken by a peculiar noise coming from my living room. The unit was opening and closing the disc drive. No idea why, it just opened and closed, opened and closed.

3: Well I could hear the voice and it's not woken me up in the middle of the night. So it was off to a good start! However, this unit had problems streaming media and the picture (but not the sound) would cut out while watching freeview or a blu ray.

Enough was enough, I've now returned the unit to Amazon for a full refund and have instead purchased the Sony BDPS570B Blu-ray Disc Player with Built-in 3D Technology which has so far been an excellent unit with an easy to use interface and access to LoveFilm.

I contacted Samsung for an opportunity to provide a comment for this review, they failed to respond.
